Asha Kovelamudi, M.D.
Dr. Kovelamudi is the founder and psychiatrist at Hope Psychiatry M.D. She is a red raider through and through as she completed both her undergraduate and medical school training at Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. She went on to complete her psychiatry residency at Oklahoma University in Tulsa where in her final year served as the chief resident. She is board certified adult psychiatrist.
After residency, Dr. Kovelamudi went on to work at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Central Texas where she primarily worked with veterans with post traumatic stress disorder, did transcranial magnetic stimulation and provided psychiatric resident supervision.
Dr. Kovelamudi has been envisioning bringing this practice to life and is excited to extend her outreach to help others in need. Dr. Kovelamudi’s first name, Asha, stands for “hope” and she always knew one day she would start a practice incorporating the word hope. She provides a patient centered approach where she listens to your whole story before coming up with a tailored plan with evidence-based treatments and therapy modalities.
