Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose Hope Psychiatry M.D. ?

Hope psychiatry was born and created through passion and once you meet Dr. Kovelamudi you will know you are her main focus during the appointment and are getting high quality management for all of your mental health symptoms. This practice is kept intentionally small so that she can continue to provide excellent care to all her patients.

Will my insurance cover this appointment?

Hope Psychiatry M.D. is out of network with all insurance carriers.

Appointments are paid on the day of appointment by credit card.

We do not accept Medicare, Medicaid or any private insurance. Upon request, you will be given a receipt (superbill) for the services provided. You may work with your insurance company and submit this if you are eligible for reimbursement through your insurance company.

By not relying on insurance for payment, we are able to offer a superior level of care to patients in terms of the duration and frequency of appointments and more importantly given the flexibility of shaping individual treatment plans to best suit each individual.

What will fees be for the appointment?

Please refer to the Fees page for all additional information.

Will I be a good fit as a patient?

Most people will be a good fit for the practice. However due to the limited time and staff, patients that are actively self-harming, had a recent suicide attempt in the last one year, significant substance abuse, or recent inpatient psychiatric hospitalization may need a higher level of care than can be offered here at Hope Psychiatry M.D.. All new patient requests will be evaluated on an individual level and determination will be discussed with the patient at the complementary intake call.

Currently at this time we are also not seeing veterans in the clinic, but we happily refer you to the mental health clinic at the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Central Texas.

Controlled substances will only be prescribed after an in person appointment in Temple, Texas.
